Every now and then I pop over to the Illustration Friday site to see what the topic of the week is. If it inspires me enough I'll whip up an illustration for it, which is what I did for this week's topic of "Myth". I went with the mythical mermaid. I guess I've always had a thing for mermaids since Ariel :) It's just nice to pretend they really are out there somewhere like angels of the sea.

I love this one! Every time I see a mermaid these days it reminds me or Denmark because "The Little Mermaid" fairytale was written here and they have this great little statue of Ariel that Klaus sent me in one of the first emails he wrote to me! :) Happy memories and your illustration totally made my day when I saw it today! :)

DeleteI loved The Little Mermaid as a child, I was always mesmerized by the way Ariel's hair moved.
