May Doodle a Day Giveaway!

I had so much fun doing the first Doodle a Day Giveaway in March, I decided to do it again for May! I took a month off in April and I missed it :(  It was a bit more challenging to keep up with my daily doodling this month as I got married on May 5th, but I was still able to find the time for my passion :)

So, here is my roundup of May doodles which I shared on Instagram! THANKS again to all my Instagram followers for your support and kind comments as I doodled my way through the month!

The prize for this giveaway is an 8x10 Print of your choice of one of my daily doodles!
If you would like a closer look at them, just click the above photo, or you can view them on the Instagram app with the username @ellolovey or online at this webstagram link.

To enter the giveaway, leave a comment below telling me what your favorite doodle is. You will have until Monday, June 4th to pick your fave and enter. I'll choose a winner using a random number generator and announce the lucky winner on Tuesday June 5th!

I tell ya... I'm falling more and more in love with doodling. I doodle when I should be doing other things, but I just love it! Try it sometime.

Sailing into June...

Go download this boat full of fun diy calendar for the month of June from the fine people at Scout Creative! You can visit their site and sign up for the Calendar of the Month Club if you haven't already. They are always fun and beat the regular old calendar on the wall any day :)

Keeping with the red white and blue theme... a friend made these beautiful Red, White and Blueberry Cheesecake Yogurt Cupcakes over Memorial Day Weekend and they were so delicious!! I had one, went back to get another one, and they were all gone :( So I'm thinking of making another batch soon. It is such a great dessert to make for parties. The best part is that they are low in fat and you could never tell the difference! Greek yogurt is the secret super food ingredient in these bad boys. Try them out, you won't be sorry :) You can find this recipe on SkinnyTaste.com along with many other healthful and delicious recipes.

Happy Wednesday!

Renegade Craft Fair Austin Trip

Well my dears, I've returned from Austin and had just enough time to relax a bit before getting back into the swing of things :) I've got lots of fun things to share with you!

First of all- the Renegade Craft Fair is such an awe-inspiring, eclectic and fun event! Not to mention, Austin is just a rad little city :) I had such a blast! See for yourself...
See what I mean? I only wish I had taken more pics of my time at Renegade.
I absolutely love doing craft fairs! It gets me out of the apartment and allows me to become friends with my customers and other talented artists and crafters. The thing that always warms my heart is seeing someone walk up to my booth, look at one of my prints, and start smiling. Makes me melt every time! That's the reason I work so hard...to inspire others and bring a big smile to their face.

A big thanks goes out to my mom and the hubs for helping me for the show! Thank you SO MUCH!! Love ya! We had a fun time setting up my booth, and even pulled a few magic tricks with last minute handmade fixes. For example, my man ran to Hobby Lobby and bought some chalkboard spray paint to give our cardboard walls a much needed facelift. I just chalked up a little sign on it, and it turned out great! Renegade even did a "Chalkboard Round-Up" of all the vendors using chalkboards which they posted on their blog. The day before they show, we made a genius display with a mini-pallete and a vintage window frame I found on my trip to Round Top last month. We attached the window frame on top of the pallette and voila! I used the pallete as shelving and the window to display my prints "clothesline" style. I just love rolling with the punches come the day of the fair.

I was booth buddies with Audilou Jewelry who have beautiful vintage inspired jewelry with a nautical twist. The ladies were super friendly and fun to be around! I also had the pleasure of neighboring next to Poppy and Fern. Rachel of Poppy and Fern was so sweet and made the most charming hand-stitched pendant necklaces with friendly woodland creatures! I seriously wanted to buy everything in her booth. Note... it's very hard doing these shows sometimes just for that reason... I want to shop when I need to be selling. I'm sure my fellow crafting buddies can agree. Well I did buy a few things... a pretty geo design crop tee I had been eying from Maryink, cute peach button earrings and a mint and cream beaded necklace from The Mossy Fox. In fact, I traded Cassie from the Mossy Fox one of my fox prints and a calendar for her lovely jewelry. She had a beautiful display of handmade jewelry, plus she was such a doll! I met some very inspiring ladies such as illustrator Lisa Chow, Jessica Tata of Son of a Sailor, Jessica Simmons of Onetwothreepeaceful Blog, Danni from Oh, Hello Friend, and even a couple Instagram friends - Viv (@eclecticviv) and Kathy (@kathyphantastic) ! So nice meeting and chatting it up with these very down to earth ladies. It's always important to network at shows! You learn so much from each other.

Overall, Renegade was a huge success! I met some very nice people, sold some prints, and even made contacts with a couple stores that want to sell my prints! Couldn't be more thankful for the experience I had in Austin! Thanks Renegade gang! Well, I hope you get the chance to go to a Renegade Craft Fair near you. You don't want to miss it! So much handmade goodness to be shared :)

p.s. I had a little time to relax at the Austin hotspot The Oasis that overlooks Lake Travis... the most gorgeous view in Austin. I hadn't been there in nearly 10 years! Man has the area grown. Wow!

Hope I didn't leave anything out! Yikes!

Road Trip to Renegade!

Debuting New Prints...

I'm excited and getting ready for Renegade Craft Fair this weekend- May 19th and 20th 11am-7pm at the Palmer Events Center 900 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, Texas. I'm printing up a storm!! So I'll have plenty of merchandise for all the lovely people of Austin! I'm only taking a little over 4 hour road trip, but hey, it's a road trip to me :)

If you’re not familiar with the awesomeness that is the Renegade Craft Fair, here's the deal... The Renegade Craft Fair is a traveling show of curated handmade goods featuring interactive activities for all. There are Renegade Craft Fairs held in cities all over the world including, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Austin. It showcases local artists and crafters as well as those that travel from all over the map. My kinda fun!

So, get ready Austin! I'm coming with my suitcases full of prints just for you!
Come by my booth and say "Hi" and see the new prints I'm rolling out.

P.S. I can't wait to grab some famous Austin BBQ while I'm down there. Mmm...

Mother's Day Weekend

Well, how was everyone's weekend? Get to spend some time with your Moms or be celebrated because you're a mom?

I took part in the Watters Creek Arts Festival in my neck of the woods, Allen, TX, over the weekend with my hubby. Friday night was literally a washout, as it rained non-stop! So we had time to be a bit silly and make moustaches out of moss which we dubbed Mosstaches :) Got to have fun, even in the rain ya know?

Saturday we were blessed with no rain. Very much a London-like day though, very cloudy. So I had time to write some thank you cards and do a few doodles. Always nice to have time for that!

On Sunday the sun was finally shining down on us in all its glory! :) We were so thrilled it was such a beautiful day. Lots of people came out shopping with their moms and showed us some love. I let my man "man" the booth while I took my mom out for a nice brunch and gelatto...mmm! Love my mama!

The show went pretty well overall! Lots of friends and family came out to support us and we had some really nice booth neighbors to chat with. I just love doing art shows! I always have so much fun. Can't wait 'til the Renegade Craft Fair in Austin this weekend! I hope if you are visiting Austin for the weekend or live there, that you come see me and my booth!

Cheers,
Rhianna

Doodle Friday & A Sneak Peek

So up at the top is a little sneak peak of all the goodness that went on at our very handmade wedding this past Saturday! I can't get over how special it was. Married life is pretty great I must say! I love the feeling. I didn't think it would be much different, but it somehow is, and it's like nothing I've ever felt before. I'm truly happy and in love. Aww gush gush :)

Well, I've stared doodling my way through May and I think I will have another giveaway at the end of then month!! What do you guys think about that? I really love the creative boost I get when I doodle on a daily basis. Try it sometime...it's good for the soul :)

Also, I'm gearing up for two art shows... this weekend at Watters Creek and next weekend in Austin for Renegade Craft. My hubby made a few palette shelves to use table displays for our prints. How clever is he? Really :) Come out and visit my shop Ello Lovey and his booth Dot4Dot!

Have a lovely weekend friends! Happy Mother's Day to those hard-working Moms out there! You deserve a day of pampering and rest!

XOXO, Rhianna

That's right! I got married to my sweet love over the weekend, Cinco de Mayo to be exact :) Another reason to party! It was such a beautiful day filled with love. My friends and family really worked their tushies off to make this special day happen! I am ever grateful for their support and love.

I can't wait to show you some photos of the wedding taken by our photographers!
I know they took some amazing shots.

I'll keep you posted as much as I can.

Busy Little Bee!

With a wedding my wedding coming up in 3 days, I have been super busy like any other bride-to-be, so I just want to say I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately. We have been working on so many diy projects for our big day, it's like a war zone in the apartment! :) It has been stressful at times, with little and big bumps along the way, but here we are staring down the 3 days until the big day, and I'm so excited to see how it all turns out. A lot of faith and support from friends and family have helped me get through the craziness that is wedding planning. I think our guests will appreciate the special handmade touches to our wedding. We had so much fun working on it. I will have a few crafty projects to share with you after the big day, and lots of pictures I'm sure!! :)

Wish us well!
